As a service provider to Local Governments across South Africa, Rdata understands the importance of private companies partnering with local municipalities to give back to the communities within they operate.
Langeberg Municipality is one of Rdata’s longest-standing clients of the Rdata EMS Desktop ERP Solution, having served the community for more than 40 years.
Together with the Speaker and the Municipal Manager’s office, Rdata decided to provide school shoes to some of the school children in the Robertson area.
Klaasvoogds and Dagbreek Primary schools were the two schools identified for the donation of over 250 pairs of school shoes.
“The winter season is approaching and therefore school shoes are a necessity for learners. With this donation, we hope that the children will remain motivated to attend school, and thus be successful in their school careers,” said Councillor Paula Hess, Speaker of the Council.
“The young learners of our country are also our future leaders, and their education is of paramount importance. We hope we can make getting to school a little easier with this donation and wish them all success for the rest of the school year,” said Roy Matthews, Rdata Regional Manager in the Western Cape.
The Executive Mayor of Langeberg Municipality, Schalk van Eeden, thanked Rdata for the donation. He hopes other organisations will follow suit and support community projects in the Langeberg area.
