To mark the month dedicated to love, the Music Department of PNX Global (Pneumatix Performing Arts) presents a fundraising Valentine’s Picnic Festival on Sunday 27 February.

The event will be held at Hoogeind Manor in Somerset West and feature live music by talented artists from the Helderberg.

Music department coordinator Winston Siljeur said locals can look forward to a picnicking with loved ones in a picturesque setting while good music creates the ambience.

He said names featured in the line-up include Stephan Cloete, Seth Grey, the Glenn Robertson Jazz Band and Jitsvinger and Winston Siljeur Project, as well as current and past music students like Karli Joy aka Karla De Villiers, Ross Marshall and Truly Bles aka Blessing Biyandu and the Music Department ensemble group of 2022.

“The support of Helderbergers will be highly appreciated as it translates into funds, which will be contributed to establishing a recording studio that will allow our music production students to learn the trade while recording their own music,” said Siljeur.

He added that proceeds will go toward affording a Macbook Mini for the recording studio.
