Libraries are celebrating South African Library Week (SALW) on the theme “ReImagine! RePurpose! ReDiscover… Libraries!” from Monday 14 to Sunday 20 March 2022.
SALW is an opportunity to market library services and create awareness of the important role libraries play in a democracy, advancing literacy, making the basic human right of freedom of access to information a reality, and to promote tolerance and respect in society.
SALW kicks off with a special programme to be held at the Lwandle Hector Peterson Memorial Library on Wednesday 16 March from 10:00 to 13:30.
