Hottentots Holland High School, with Maintenance Matters, Oppermans Inc, the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) and other stakeholders, is hosting a three-hour workshop on child maintenance at the school in Somerset West from 09:00 to 12:30 on Saturday 23 April.
Expected to be informative and interactive, the idea is to educate parents on the process of claiming for child maintenance. Topics covered will include: How to complete the maintenance application form that needs to be submitted to court correctly; How to prepare for the maintenance enquiry at court; What to expect at court; How to deal with child maintenance arrears; How to apply to court for an increase of the maintenance amount; Parenting plans; Child visitation issues; Your rights pertaining to child maintenance.
