With the winter school holidays underway, parents are already thinking about ways to keep their children occupied during the three-week break.
Fortunately there are some exciting free daily activities planned at GrandWest to keep children entertained from until Sunday 19 July.
The fun unfolds daily from 12:00 to 16:00 at the Cape Village with the schedule changing daily, with activities planned every hour on the hour.
Children can look forward to hours of fun with juggling shows, sand art, roaming clowns, magicians, arts and crafts, balloon twisting, jugglers, face painting, beading workshops and puppet shows.
On Sunday 5 July, young Minion fans can meet Stuart, Kevin and Bob between 14:30 and 18:00.
They will also be able to take photos and have photos taken with the Minions.
In addition, children will be treated to a host of fun-filled activities including a magic show, balloon sculpting, arts and crafts.
Among the many highlights on the GrandWest children’s entertainment programme is the Children’s Theatre on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 July at 13:00.
There will be two shows for the children to enjoy, Beauty and the Beast and The Snowman.
Youngsters can also have loads of fun posing and taking photos with their friends in the photo booth from Saturday 11 to Sunday 19 July.
In addition to the free entertainment for children, there are also a number of family-styled events including the internationally acclaimed Tutankhamun – his tomb and his treasures exhibition in the SunExhibits venue, The Harlem Globetrotters athletic theatre on Wednesday 1 and Thursday 2 July and Disney On Ice’s Let’s Celebrate from Wednesday 8 July to Sunday 12 July
